Celebrating Progress: Our Journey in 2025

Celebrating Progress: Our Journey in 2025

At Bariatric Technologies, 2025 has been a year of innovation, connection, and purpose. As we reflect on the past twelve months, we are proud of the strides we have made toward transforming care for individuals living with obesity—and we are just getting started.

Listening, Learning, and Leading

Our journey began with a clear mission: to design high-performance support garments for men living with obesity—a group often overlooked in the apparel industry. This year, we launched limited-run production of our base layer garment and engaged testers across Canada. Their feedback has been invaluable, helping us refine our design for optimal comfort, support, and confidence. We are thrilled to announce that our final design is set to go into production by year’s end.

Expanding Our Vision

While our initial focus was on men, we heard loud and clear from women who want to be part of this movement. We are excited to share that a women’s design is already in development, with plans to launch in the first quarter of 2026. This is more than a product line—it’s a commitment to inclusion and dignity for all.

Building Community

One of the most inspiring parts of this year has been the stories shared by individuals across Canada and the U.S. People have reached out to tell us how much our work matters. These conversations remind us why we do what we do: to create solutions that empower people to live more comfortably and confidently.

Leadership and Recognition

Our CEO and Chief Product Officer, Dr. Mary Forhan, has been at the forefront of this journey—collaborating with our Ontario-based production firm, networking at major events like eComm North, the Honest Talk Women’s Summit, and the Canadian Obesity Summit. We’re proud to celebrate Mary’s nomination for Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award in 2025—a testament to her leadership and vision.

Innovation Through Collaboration

This year, Bariatric Technologies was one of only 14 companies invited to join the prestigious KITE Creators Circle, an intensive accelerator program that merges science and creativity to tackle accessibility challenges. This experience has opened new doors for research and development, setting the stage for exciting innovations in 2026.

Looking Ahead

As we close out 2025, we’re energized by what’s ahead. From launching garments for both men and women to expanding our research initiatives, the future is bright—and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Your voices, stories, and feedback have shaped our work and fueled our mission. Together, we are building great physical comfort, enhanced mobility, skin protection and boosted confidence.

Stay connected. Follow our updates and join us as we continue to innovate with purpose in 2026.
