Product Development Journey

This blog is the first in a series that will take you along our journey of product development

Our Logo

Our logo symbolizes personal transformation and growth. It gives a sense of forward momentum and progress reflecting the personal journey of those who use our products. The bold geometric shape displays energy and confidence.

Design Inspirations

Our support garment designs draw inspiration from the organic shapes and structures found in nature, which provide support through their simple elegance. Our goal is to create support that remains in place during movement, showcasing both strength and resilience. We base our designs on the structures and functions of the musculoskeletal system, as well as on exoskeletal support concepts that can be effectively integrated into our garments. These concepts are subtly embedded in the design, becoming evident when the garments are put to the test.

The Challenge

The main challenge we have had is to find a way to make a ready to wear undergarments and base layers in a range of sizes that will fit the diversity of human shapes, particularly those that are currently underserved.

Approach to the Challenge

We met this challenge by surrounding ourselves with a variety of experts in performance apparel design, manufacturing, brand development and marketing. The most precious resource that we have is our network of advisors with lived experience with significant weight loss. This group has informed the design of our garments from concept to prototype development and testing.

Since the inception of Bariatric Technologies in July 2024, we have achieved several milestones including:

  • Design of our premiere product line
  • Secured a manufacturing contract in Canada

What is Next

The next step in our production journey is to source high quality, performance fabrics that will bring our designs to life. This is no small task and requires our first business trip. Watch for our next blog to find out where we are going.
